58196 Ashleyess (provisional designation: 1992 EC1) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Duncan Steel at the Siding Spring Observatory in Canberra, Australia, on March 10, 1992. It is named after Ashley Caroline Steel, the discoverer's youngest sister.
